Wouldn't you like purchasing three filters for the price of one? Now you can with Aqueon's new ProFlex model sumps! Advanced design can be set up as a Berlin filter, refugium or standard wet/dry. Using the standard equipment and a light, you can cultivate algaes and plants to help draw away excess nutrients that may hinder your coral growth. This set up is known as a refugium. You can also use the existing equipment to run a Berlin style set up with live rock and a protein skimmer. This is for established systems where nitrate control and protein skimming are preferable. With the purchase of the BioMedia Accessory pack, sold separately, you can turn the ProFlex into a standard wet/dry system. Hang-on overflow, water pump and protein skimmer and BioMedia Accessory pack are all sold separately. Water passes through a unique bubble diffuser to remove air from the system. Then, 200 micron filter socks on the inlet remove fine particulates, prefiltering the water for all set-up types.
